Commissions can be undertaken on any subject , with speciality in acrylic paintings of automotive subjects.
The type of work undertaken includes the following;
A painting of a classic car from the owner's photograph, but placing it in an attractive landscape or townscape.
A customer asking for a painting of a specific Motor Racing moment such as an F1 overtaking maneuver or a Le Mans winner. Jeff will research fully and provide working sketches for approval before completing the final painting.
A Montage, taken from clients photographs, of all the cars a retiring club racer has driven over the years, or the career of a particular F1 driver.
A championship prize, booking time in advance, with the winner not being known until a couple of weeks before the prize giving, photos of the winner being provided then, and the finished painting complete with inscription, despatched in time for the presentation.
A present for a sponsor. Working from a photograph of the car and a copy of the sponsors logo, an painting can be produced or the car in the sponsor's livery before it has even run. A2 size art prints can be produced of the painting for only £30 each with no minimum quantities.
Standard Paintings are completed using only quality Daler/Rowney products with acrylic paint on heavy weight acid free cartridge paper. The completed painting is then bevel edge mounted behind art board matting in the customer's choice of colour. A contrast & fine lined border is applied as standard to fit standard frame sizes. Professionally made glazed wooden frame in a choice of finishes and widths to suit the customers decor can be provided, but sending glazed frames through the post can prove problematical.
Paintings on MDF, Canvas Board or Stretched Canvas can give even more permanence to the painting and can be gloss varnished to give the look of an oil painting at small additional charge. As these paintings are not glazed they can framrd be sent through the post with no problem
Commissions are normally from client's own photographs, as it is often difficult to distinguish details, please provide as much photographic information as possible. The artist has an extensive library of motor sport related books and magazines to refer to for most subjects.
As work is often used as prizes for championships or events an inscription can be printed on card and inset into the mount at no extra cost.
Pricing is normally by size of work produced, there are 2 standards of Frame Click here for examples of Frames & Size Comparison
Deluxe frames are wider or more ornate.
NB Small size is not suitable for Deluxe frame. Large Size is not suitable for Normal Frame.
NB Small size is not suitable for cars where advertising logos are intended to be read.

Paintings on Canvas Board add £10 to the above Costs

If the above sizes are not suitable, paintings can be produced in any size, please contact the artist for a quotation. It is also possible to produce a mounted painting (or print) to fit your own frame,
Paintings are produced on approval with no obligation to buy unless absolutely satisfied.
A deposit of £25.00 is requested at the time of order, the balance payable when the painting is ready for despatch. A photo of the painting will be sent for approval before payment is requested. If you are not satisfied with the painting for any reason, can be returned to the artist for a full refund all monies paid.
Paintings are a popular Birthday or Christmas present. Please order early. The painting can be held until just before it is needed and the final payment need only be made at that point.
Preferred method of payment is by cash or cheque. Invoices can be sent to Email addresses for credit or debit card payment via 'Paypal.'
Carriage is by the clients preferred method & is charged at cost. As a guide a regular size framed painting currently costs about £16 to deliver by courier within the UK. Carriage for unframed paintings is approx. £6.
Please note that I keep the cost of original paintings as keen as possible, I do this by offering prints for sale to the general public, where there is sufficient interest, which in effect subsidises the cost of the original painting.. I am happy to keep any image produced unique to the comissioning party, but this will be at extra cost. Please contact for a quotation.
